Dr. Lauren King is a board-certified Licensed Clinical Psychologist who received her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University. She also received her master's and doctorate degrees from the Florida Institute of Technology. She completed an APA Internship at Eastern Virginia Medical School and a Fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center. Dr. King continually returns to the classroom to stay up to date on new and innovative techniques used to help people maintain healthy weights and improve their sleep patterns.

As a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. King specializes in the treatment of various disorders that affect a person's weight as well as how those disorders affect their sleep patterns. She has received highly specialized training in CBT-I. CBT-I, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia works to break the bad habits that prohibit a person from being able to achieve the deep sleep their body needs to function efficiently. Dr. King uses this therapy as well as many others to help her patients get back on the path to good health and wellness.
